Six Glimpses into a Collection

Works from contemporary art collection of Gösta Serlachius Fine Arts Foundation

The Serlachius industrialist family began collecting art over a century ago. Today the collection comprises thousands of works, its core consisting of Finnish Golden Age classics and European masterpieces from the 16th century onwards.

In the early 2010s the Gösta Serlachius Fine Arts Foundation also began collecting contemporary art, and over the past two decades the contemporary collection has been augmented systematically with selected works both from Finland and around the world. Six Glimpses into a Collection presents acquisitions made between 2010 and 2022, featuring artists including Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Riiko Sakkinen, Ville Lenkkeri, Marita Liulia and Elina Brotherus.
