“His originality stems from a convergence of heart and mind, served by immaculate technique and motivated by a deep and abiding love for one of the 20th century’s greatest composer- pianists.” (Gramophone).

One of the great pianist stars of the young generation, Israeli Boris Giltburg is known for his illustrious, deeply sensitive, and compelling interpretations. Giltburg is also widely recognized as one of the leading interpreters of Rachmaninov’s piano works. As the year 2023 is Rachmaninov’s 150th anniversary year, his much-loved composition Preludes, Op. 32, forms the center of Giltburg’s Mänttä program.
