Nastja Säde Rönkkö, winner of the Below Zero 2023 award, is an internationally renowned contemporary artist. During her residency period in London, which was part of the art award, she wrote a poetic script salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears, which laid the foundation for the three-channel video work.

In Rönkkö’s work, from the personification of a tear, a drop of blood and a droplet of sweat, emerges a tragic tale of lost love and its chaotic emotional aftermath.

The publication presents the project related to the art award and the video work created during the residency period. The publication has English and Finnish texts.
