Simon Patterson: Head to Toe

Head to Toe  presents works by the richly versatile British artist Simon Patterson (b. 1967) spanning from the early 1990s to the present. Laced with ingenious humour, Patterson’s insightful works are based on lists, maps, diagrams, models, instructions, and the cavalcade of tools we use in our attempts to control and make sense of the increasingly complicated world around us.

He juxtaposes written texts and visual codes, switching around taxonomies in surprisingly apt ways that make us question what we really know about the world and how this knowledge affects our daily lives.

Simon Patterson is based in London. He has held solo exhibitions and taken part in group shows in Europe, the United States and Japan.
