Serlachius Museums are closed

17.03.2020

According to the instructions of the Emergency Act declared by the Finnish Government, Serlachius Museums and Restaurant Gösta are closed from Wednesday 18 March 2020 until the end of May.

Serlachius bus runs on weekdays Mo–Fr, only in morning between Mänttä and Tampere. It is scheduled to depart from Mänttä at 9.15 am, and from Tampere 10.50/11.05. The bus does not run on weekends. From 1 June onwards the normal schedule will be applied again.

Also the Serlachius Residency is closed until further notice.

The exhibition programme of the Serlachius Museums for the next summer and autumn will undergo some change. The changes will be confirmed later on.

Serlachius Museums will be opened on 1 June

We are free to open our museums on 1 June! Welcome to visit our peaceful environment, where unnecessary social contacts are easy to avoid. We are located outside the big settlements and isolated in a good way. We have many buildings, several spaces and a wide park to help people scatter around the area. This way it is easy to keep the required safe distance.

We are prepared for your visit in many different ways and will look after your and our staff’s safety. Our museums have always got great feedback for cleanliness and now we have even boosted our cleaning. We pay special attention to hand hygiene and provide disinfectant in several spots around the museums. We remind our customers to keep the safe distance e.g. with the help of announcements and written info.

Our restaurant reduces seats according to the Finnish Government’s restriction on gatherings (max 50 people). Also, the tables are arranged so that the safe distance between different parties can be realized (min 2 m). The food is served directly on tables from the top modern and hygienic kitchen.

In addition to this, special attention to cleanliness is paid also in the Serlachius bus. There will be disinfectant available, and we aim to have bigger busses for our shifts in order to give every customer more space to travel comfortably and safely.
