Anselm Kiefer – In the Beginning
Serlachius Museums have published a complemented edition of the book Anselm Kiefer – In the Beginning. It came out earlier in context with an exhibition presenting Grothe Collection in Germany. As a result of the exhibition at Serlachius Museums, the book now has also Finnish text. The new edition contains also Timo Valjakka’s essay.
Anselm Kiefer – In the Beginningtells about the artist that belongs to the most important artists of our time, about his monumental art and the way he works. In addition, the book contains an article describing business man Hans Grothe as collector of Anselm Kiefer‘s art.
Also Timo Valjakka, Robert Fleck, Walter Smerling, Susanne Kleine, Thomas Ebers and Norman Rosenthal have written articles to the publication of the Serlachius Museums. Director of the Serlachius Museums, Pauli Sivonen has written the introduction of the book. The book also contains an introduction to every artwork belonging to the Grothe Collection. The book has been illustrated with impressive images of artworks. The texts are in Finnish and English languages.
