Far Out Art With a Historic Heart

Serlachius

Serlachius – Far Out Art with a Historic Heart brings together art, history, and architecture in a distinctive natural environment surrounded by lakes and Finnish forests. Its two museum sites and artist residency programme present exhibitions of both contemporary and historical art alongside immersive historical spaces. Embracing sustainable practices, it also offers visitors opportunities to dine and enjoy the sauna in a serene, natural setting.

The Serlachius legacy is rooted in Finland’s forest industry and a long tradition of art patronage. Over four generations, the Serlachius family has fostered the growth of both their business and the local community, enriching its cultural life. The family’s art collection, established over a century ago, now comprises around 10,000 works.
