MOKA Group Exhibition at Serlachius Residency Wed–Sun, 24–28 June, noon–6 pm

The MOKA Group was formed in early 2022 by visual artists based in the Pirkanmaa region. Over the past four years, the group has explored the theme of making mistakes and the members’ personal mishaps, presenting two exhibitions so far.

During their residency at Serlachius, the MOKA Group has been developing a “Museum of Mistakes” installation for the Taidevaltakunta ’26 Biennial at Finlayson in Tampere. The works are based on mistakes submitted anonymously by the public as written contributions.

During the residency, these “mistakes” have been transformed into artworks using each artist’s own techniques – such as small ceramic sculptures shaped from clay, works using recycled materials and textiles, photography, and even wool felting.

The MOKA Group consists of Ilai Lehto, Timo Höyssä, Tarleena Öhman, Sanna Saarreharju, Senni Uusikartano, Tero Ulvila, and Sanna Maria Paananen.

Admission to the exhibition is free. Light refreshments will be served at the opening. Welcome!
