On this tour, we’ll get our hands into clay and dough, our feet into the forest, and experience the Finnish women’s way of life, closely connected to nature. We’ll explore nature as a source of well-being and inspiration for art. 5. Influental women in architecture and design

Bonus: two Unesco World Heritage sites

 

Finland’s most renowned architect, Alvar Aalto, cannot take sole credit for the world-famous designs bearing his name; they were created in collaboration with his two wives, Aino Aalto and Elissa Aalto. On this tour, we will visit some of Aalto’s grand designs in Paimio and the Jyväskylä area, as well as two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and explore Finnish design.
