Children’s Saturday: Draw Fine Details

SAT 3 Jan from 2 pm to 4 pm, Serlachius Manor

On the first Children’s Saturday of the year, we will work with different pens and pencils inspired by Stiina Saaristo’s exhibition.

You can participate in the children’s Saturday art workshops with your own adult. The activities are suitable for all ages and take place in Finnish language.
The instructors are Serlachius’ museum educators.

Free admission for children under 18 years of age. Adults pay €16/€10.50. The Museum Card is accepted.

Children’s Saturday: Make paper

SAT 7 Feb from 2 pm to 4 pm, Serlachius Headquarters

In a traditional paper workshop, we make a handmade sheet of paper from recycled pulp and decorate it.

You can participate in the children’s Saturday art workshops with your own adult. The activities are suitable for all ages and take place in Finnish language. The instructors are Serlachius’ museum educators.

Free admission for children under 18 years of age. Adults pay €16/€10.50. The Museum Card is accepted.

Family Day: Viljami Heinonen – Interrupted Stories

Sun 22 Feb from noon to 5 pm, Serlachius Headquarters

Visual artist Viljami Heinonen will arrive at the Family Day to hold a fast-paced painting workshop called Interrupted Stories, in which the whole family can participate. In addition, we will explore Heinonen’s exhibition Somewhere in Between on a rocking family tour! All programme takes place in Finnish language.

Programme:

Adults pay €16/€10.50. The Museum Card is accepted.

Winter Art Camp

Tue–Wed 24–25 Feb at from 9 am to 3 pm, Serlachius Manor

The art camp, organised in cooperation between the Serlachius Museums and the Autere College, offers an introduction to exhibitions and a wide range of art. The camp is intended for 7–12-year-olds and takes place in Finnish language. The camp will be held on both days from 9 am to 3 pm. The instructor is artist Kirsimaria Törönen together with Serlachius’ museum educator.

The course fee of 70 € includes tuition and one meal per day. Enrollments to the Autere College office, tel. +358 (0)50 346 4455

Children’s Saturday: Learn about the methods of graphic art

Sat 7 Mar from 2 pm to 4 pm, Serlachius Manor

We engrave the image on the metal sheet and finally press it on the paper.

You can participate in the children’s Saturday art workshops with your own adult. The activities are suitable for all ages and take place in Finnihs language. The instructors are Serlachius’ museum educators.

Free admission for children under 18 years of age. Adults pay €16/€10.50. The Museum Card is accepted.

We will give form for fun pictures of forest animals in frames.

You can participate in the children’s Saturday art workshops with your own adult. The activities are suitable for all ages. and take place in Finnish language. The instructors are Serlachius’ museum educators.

Admission to Children’s Saturday and Family Day is always free for children under the age of 18. Adults pay €16 and pensioners €10.50. We accept the Museum Card.

Anssi Kasitonni’s art workshop

Artist Anssi Kasitonni leads in Finnihs language the art workshop A New Life of a Toy.

Run around Koskelanlampi pond

Thu 21 May from noon on, Serlachius Headquaters

The schoolchildren of Mänttä-Vilppula compete in teams in a traditional relay run that goes around Koskelanlampi. The event will also feature an art series.

The camp will be held on both days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The instructor is artist Kirsimaria Törönen together with Serlachius’ museum educator.

Both museums always offer non-stop art workshops that are suitable for both children and adults. The experiential World of the Forest offers activities at the Serlachius Headquarters.
