A public party open to all and a free admission to the Serlachius Headquarters on the 150th birthday of Gösta Serlachius.

At noon Special Day’s Guided Tour at the Patrons exhibition

1 pm Gösta Serlachius as a leader and as a person, Oula Silvennoinen

The presentation discusses the most important stages of Gösta Serlachius’ career as an industrial manager and the rise of the G. A. Serlachius Ltd to become an international corporation on the Finnish scale. Gösta Serlachius’ thinking and character traits are outlined through his personal life.

Oula Silvennoinen is a historian and docent of European history at the University of Helsinki, whose research deals with Finland’s recent history. His works also include Gösta Serlachius’ biography available only in Finnish language Paperisydän (Siltala, 2012) and R. Erik Serlachius’ biography Savunharmaa Eminenssi (Siltala, 2020).
