Berömda dräkter på vita duken

Roms legendariska teater- och filmkostymateljé Tirelli Costumis prisbelönta dräkter för filmklassiker och teaterstycken.

Cinecittà-filmstudiorna med sina stora internationella produktioner, La Dolce Vitas gata, Via Veneto med sina filmstjärnor och paparazzi samt 1950-talets ekonomiska boom i kombination med Italiens högklassiga och kreativa hantverkskunnande, har skapat Roms legendariska teater- och filmkostymateljéer. En av dem är Tirelli Costumi vars dräkter har förlänat Italien ett flertal Oscar-pris och -nomineringar samt andra internationella priser. Dessa har beviljats bl.a. för Så tuktas en argbigga med Elisabeth Taylor som stjärna, Once Upon a Time in America regisserad av Sergio Leone samt Sofia Coppolas Marie Antoinette.

Utställningen Glamour – Berömda dräkter på vita duken för till Serlachiusmuseerna några av dessa prisbelönta dräkter. Förutom dräkter hör till utställningen smycken, dräktskisser, tygprover, intervjuer med kostymörer, regissörer och hantverkare samt fotografimaterial om kostymateljéns vardag. Utställningen har kuraterats av Cornelia Bujin, Italo Nunziata och Hannu Palosuo.
