Interview of the Open Group artists

Artists Yuriy Biley and Anton Varga from the Ukrainian artist collective Open Group are interviewed by art historian Olga Tykhonova. Open Group’s exhibition Repeat After Me II is on show at Serlachius Manor from April 12 to July 20, 2025

Open Group invites in front of their cameras Ukrainian civilians who fled Russia’s illegal war of aggression. They briefly introduce themselves to the viewers of the video and then replay the sounds of alarm sirens, rockets, artillery emplacements and other weapon systems.

The interview is conducted in Ukrainian and includes subtitles in English and Finnish.
