Anish Kapoor exhibition publication now out

Exhibition publicationDid Anish Kapoors exhibition confuse your thoughts? Would you like to know more about his art? A recent exhibition publication opens up Kapoor‘s art and thinking in an interesting way.

Anish Kapoor is one of the world’s leading contemporary artists. His bold, sensual sculptures take hold of the viewer and redefine the space or context in which they are created. Although frequently monumental in scale, Kapoor’s works are intimate – as if occupying the borderland between our inner world and external reality.

This volume presents Kapoor’s recent output and documents the genesis of the monumental sculpture Ancestor, made for the exhibition opening at Serlachius Museums, Finland, in summer 2026. It includes essays by Professor Rod Mengham and Professor Emeritus Esko Valtaoja, as well as an interview with Anish Kapoor by the exhibition’s curator, art critic Timo Valjakka. The foreword is written by Pauli Sivonen, Director of the Serlachius Museums.

The texts in the beautifully illustrated book open up new, interesting perspectives on Kapoor’s art. The book is sold in Serlachius stores and online.
