Join a day trip on 8 August, organised in collaboration by Pohjolan Matka and Serlachius, to discover the highlights of the Serlachius art collection at the magnificent Kadriorg Art Museum in Tallinn.

At the Kadriorg Art Museum, you can explore Symphony of Art and Nature, an extensive exhibition presenting the Serlachius collection. This is Serlachius’ first major exhibition in Estonia, and it will be on view until 23 August.

The Serlachius collection is particularly renowned for Finnish Golden Age art, which is extensively represented in the exhibition. Works by Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Hugo Simberg, and Helene Schjerfbeck, among others, are on display. In addition, the exhibition includes old European art and a selection of contemporary works.

Day trip from Helsinki

The trip is organised by Pohjolan Matka. The coach departs from Helsinki on the morning of 8 August, in front of Kiasma, and will also transport participants during the visit in Tallinn.

On board M/S Finlandia, passengers will enjoy a minibuffet breakfast and hear an introductory talk by the exhibition’s co-curator, PhD Tomi Moisio in Finnish, on Gösta Serlachius as an art collector. In Tallinn, the programme includes a curator-led tour of the exhibition (in Finnish) as well as time to explore the museum’s other exhibitions independently.

Afterwards, there will be time to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. The day concludes with a visit to the PoCo Museum, which showcases pop and contemporary art. Return to Helsinki takes place in the evening.

The group will be accompanied by a Serlachius tour leader in addition to Curator Tomi Moisio.

Price of the trip: €143
