“Cho is a master. He displayed an impressive variety of tonal colors and impressive technique, dispatched with jaw-dropping panache. He had something to say and communicated it well.”  – The Wall Street Journal

Seong-Jin Cho, the other astounding talent of Saturday, is one the most intuitive and poetical young hyper virtuosos of his generation. The career of this 27-year-old Berlin-based musician catapulted straight into stardom after winning the 2015 Warsaw Chopin Competition. Furthermore, he has already performed on virtually all prominent venues of the classical music scene.

At Mänttä, Cho will perform a program that is simultaneously touching and profound and requires dazzling virtuosity . Baroque suites by Hqndel are accompanied by two iconic compositions of piano literature: Handel Variations by Brahms and Symphonic Etudes by Schumann.
