Paul Lewis
Serlachius Museum Gösta, Kivijärvi Hall
58/45 €
Paul Lewis is remembered for performing one of the most magnificent recitals in the history of the Mänttä Music Festival. This was the final concert of the 2014 festival, where he played the three last sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven.
Lewis’s playing is marked by deep emotional motivation and expressiveness. Lewis has a striking ability to interpret music as if it directly conveys the profound purpose and intention of the composer.
In recent years, Lewis has continued his rise as one of the leading international pianists of our time. He is especially known for mastering and interpreting the music of German-speaking Europe. In his Mänttä recital, he will perform an impressive, inspiring, and touching collection of Schubert piano sonatas.
