MÄNTTÄ MUSIC FESTIVAL 2023
Thursday, Aug 3, 2023 at 18:30
Serlachius Museum Gösta, Kivijärvi Hall
The French master pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet is known as a sensitive, highly intuitive magician of tone variety. Bavouzet rose to world fame as a vivid interpreter of Joseph Haydn’s music, and he is also known for widely praised recordings of French art music. In his Mänttä recital, Bavouzet will interpret pieces by Haydn and Ravel that will enable him to convey his musical sense of humor and the superb delicacy of his touch on the keys.
Joseph Haydn (1732–1809):
Piano Sonata in A flat Major Hob XVI/46
Piano Sonata in E flat major Hob XVI/ 49
Maurice Ravel (1875–1937):
