Under the eagle's wings
Gösta Serlachius Fine Arts Foundation, established in 1933, is well-known especially for the art museum located in Joenniemi Manor, for its collections and for itse exhibitions.
When celebrating its 70th anniversary, foundation opened a new G.A.Serlachius Museum ín the former head office of the Serlachius company in the centre of Mänttä. The new museum illustrates the effect that work, workers as well as the company of a small industrial town had on the whole life of the people and the surrounding society.
Past times come awake interactively through animations, mutimedia, scale models as well as through means of art and theatre.
This book tells about the things taht are important for the foundation: its operations, the forest industry, Mänttä and history of the people in Mänttä as well as the new wind blowing in the museum sector.
