Tips for your visit

Welcome to Serlachius Museums in Mänttä! Here you will find some important information and useful tips to ensure your visit goes smoothly.

Parking
Both museums have separate parking areas. Parking spaces for the disabled are located close to the entrances of the museums. Charging station for electric cars is located at Gösta parking area P1. If the art museum’s parking spaces are full, you can leave your car along the Isonniementie-street and walk from there over the footbridge to the art museum yard. (See map below.) During the busy summer season, Art Museum Gösta’s parking area has parking staff to assist with parking.

Leave handbags in the lockers
Outerwear and handbags must be left in the cloakroom facilities. Lockers are also available for the use of visitors in both museums. The most convenient option, however, would be to leave large bags in your vehicle.

Pets
No pets can be brought inside the museums. The only exceptions are guide dogs.

Photography
Photography is permitted in both museums, without a flash, for private use. Sharing of images in social media is not considered to be private use.

Accessibility
Art Museum Gösta’s Pavilion is accessible, and the Manor is mostly accessible. Gustaf’s interior spaces are dimensioned to suit wheelchairs, and the exhibitions are designed to be multi-sensory.
The museums have wheelchairs, child pushchairs, folding chairs and other walking aids for visitors to borrow.
Gustaf Museum’s entrance for people with impaired mobility is located in the gable end of the building, opposite a white wooden building. Gösta’s Pavilion has induction loops in the main lobby, Kivijärvi Hall, exhibition spaces and the restaurant.

Bicycles, boats and Nordic walking poles
