Serlachius Museum Gustaf
The interesting building was completed as the head office of the forest combine G. A. Serlachius Ltd in 1934 and museum operations occupied the building in 2003. Gustaf offers new kinds of exhibition experiences that originate from the history and the way of life at different times. The stories play the main role.
Get acquainted with the legend of Finnish paper industry in the exhibition Paper Devil. It portrays the life and reckless business affairs of Gustaf Adolf Serlachius in the 19th century. A totally new kind of a museum experience awaits: an exhibition route of eight dramatised scenes employing the means of theatre. Languages: Finnish and English.
Lemmenpolku – The Path of Love by Nordic pole walking
You can move around from one museum to another by Nordic walking along a forested lakeside path or you can borrow a bicycle from the museum and ride. The distance is about 2,5 km.
Serlachius Museum Gösta
The museum consists of two buildings: Alongside the residential manor of the industrialist Gösta Serlachius, an internationally awarded and architecturally interesting wood-constructed pavilion was raised in 2014. The exhibitions of the museum feature nationally significant works of Finnish art, new openers of contemporary art and well-known artworks.
Acquaint yourself with the exhibitions and take a walk around the sculpture garden and the nearby island and sit down for a picnic. Borrow a rowing boat from the museum’s ticket counter and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Finnish lakeside nature.
